A tailored investment strategy
Financial markets are a source of return, not an investment strategy.
A stand alone managed fund or holdings in a parcel of direct equities do not constitute an investment strategy. Objectives that are provided in various managed funds’ prospectuses are manufactured and generally require the assistance of a financial planner to match a client profile.
However, it should be also remembered that managed funds are generally mass marketed and therefore may not be a relevant fit for an individual’s risk profile.
In such circumstances, a carefully weighted holding in sector and direct assets may be more advantageous.
